By connecting to the real world of students’ lives, authentic learning enables students to become lifelong learners who contribute to society and the wider world as active and discerning citizens. Authentic learning is central to our work as Catholic educators because it promotes the continual growth and wellbeing of the whole person — spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically.

At St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School Annandale our school curriculum is concerned with quality teaching and learning. We promote learning as an ongoing process and recognise that children learn at different rates and in different ways.

Our students display amazing learning gains throughout their years with us because of the targeted support and differentiated learning programs that we offer. We constantly perform well in NAPLAN with most of our students achieving in the top two bands for Year 3 and 5. Many of our students perform at gifted or highly talented levels and are given various opportunities to excel in their areas of interest and/or talent.
