Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
Underpinning our mission to inspire hearts and minds is the core purpose of our school, that is, to encourage each student to encounter Jesus Christ everyday and to foster a personal relationship with him. We provide opportunities for this encounter in daily religion lessons, prayer, school and family Mass, retreats and reflections days.
Families are encouraged to take an active part in the faith journey of their children. Many opportunities are provided such as morning prayer, school and family Masses and parish-based Sacramental programs.
Students prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation through our parish-based sacramental programs. Preparation for the Sacraments is in small groups facilitated by parent leaders. This is a meaningful opportunity for parents to share their faith with their children and personalise the experience.
We promote respect and responsibility through a variety of outreach programs. The school’s outreach events are organised by Mini Vinnies and include Caritas, St Vincent de Paul Society, Catholic Education Foundation and the Charitable Works Fund.
